This weekend I attended a seminar in the UK at Earls Court, London. I sat at the back of the room and listened to every word spoken by the presenters on Friday.

I didn’t take any notes, but I had my BlackBerry with me… so anything that I thought was important I e-mailed to my laptop so that I would remind myself of what it was that I needed to do when I got home!

I saw a lot of people just listening and taking no notes whatsoever!!

This suprised me because I’ve been doing this for over 4 years now and some of the stuff I was hearing was new… so tip number 1 would be to make notes!

I also had the chance to meet a number of people on the Sunday – some people I had been working with for a few months or even a few years via e-mail, so it was nice to put faces to names for both of us.

Meeting Shawn Casey was cool, my buddy Saj P was there and I also met some other big name marketers on the Sunday as well.

You can always grow yourself and grow your business – everyone starts with a list size of zero and a zero in their ClickBank accounts, so you just need to focus on one technique and make that work for you…

I see so many people jumping from one opportunity to the next opportunity — before they have made the first one work!! I’m guilty of this myself sometimes as well, but I can identify when I’m doing this and put a stop to it rapidly.

Tip number 2 would be to work on ONLY one project at a time when first starting out. Don’t keep buying the “next” product that comes out!

And the last point that I wanted to make was the stuff that was going out outside the seminar…

I met with people and did a few Joint venture deals outside the main room, but that’s only possible when you take action from what you hear in the room.

I have graduated, worked my way up… and I have many many mentors that I now work with and learn from.

Tip number 3 would be that you need to find yourself a mentor.

You can do it alone, but you will have to do it the hard way… Learn from someone that has been there and done it – it will save you time and A LOT of money…
